ACE has invested in-water training headset technology for our athletes to use during practices. The swimmers will get real time communication from the coaches through the in-water headsets so they can instantly correct their stroke technique and adjust tempo to prevent bad habits from forming during practice. This will help to make practices more productive as the coaches will be able to provide immediate feedback to the swimmer without yelling during a set rather than waiting for wall time. The headsets also help the swimmers to hear all coach instructions more clearly and to better focus their attention when in large groups at the wall.
ACE swimmers will be using these bone conduction headsets during training sessions at OHB, exclusively.
I understand that my swimmer will have access to the in-water headsets at OHB practices. Swimmers will not have the individual headsets checked out to them to take home or for use at Common Ground or other facilities.
Swimmers will be provided instructions from the ACE coaches on how to properly use and care for the headsets.
Swimmers are responsible for the general care of the headsets when at practice.
Parents/ swimmers will be charged for full replacement cost of a headset that had been damaged due to intentional misuse or abuse.
