NAC Team Information

Shark Bytes is the Web Site of the North Aquatics Club - "Sharks" (NAC). NAC is a competitive swim team for children ages 6 to 18. We practice at the Lincoln-Way East High School; located at 201 Colorado Avenue, Frankfort. 

NAC is NOT a learn to swim program. Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool (25 yards) nonstop. Children are taught each stroke for competitive swimming and need to be willing to work hard on perfecting their strokes.

Each member of The Sharks is required to become a USA Swimming member at registration. NAC is a USA Swimming Team where extra, optional, swim meets are offered on some weekends. The list of ISI/USA meets, NAC will participate in, is posted in the "Events" section on the main page.

The North Aquatics Club usually swim in the Gold or Blue Division. There are four divisions - Gold, Blue, Red and White - in our league with approximately 6 teams in each division. Out of those four divisions, the Gold Division is the highest and most competitive. This means we are swimming against some of the best swimmers in the area.

NAC is a competitive swim team for children ages 6 to 18. We are a member of the South Suburban Swim Conference which is in turn part of Illinois Swimming. We are a USA swim team. We will be practicing at the Lincoln-Way East High School at 201 Colorado Avenue in Frankfort.

The NAC Coaching Philosophy

A successful training program cannot guarantee success in racing. Training merely makes successful racing possible. A swimmer must also have the will to win, a subconscious desire for victory, courage, tenacity, and a fierce competitive instinct to transform the racing potential provided by good training into reality.

The NAC Coaching Staff is committed to providing all the tools necessary for each and every athlete to reach Team as well as Personal goals. We believe in setting our Goals high. There is no reason to do anything in life unless you do it with a purpose and do it to the best of your ability. You have to Believe to Achieve. The Swim Team will help you make the decision to rise above the “average”, and take the rewarding and challenging road to Success.
