Owner, Lead Riding & Vaulting Instructor

Cathy is Head Vaulting Coach for Ridge Run Vaulters, the only American Vaulting Association Club in NW Ohio, and a Certified Horsemanship Association All-Discipline Riding Instructor.  Cathy brings English Training Level Eventing (Jumper, Dressage, Cross Country), Intercollegiate Hunter, Trail Riding, and foundation Western riding skills and teaching experience.  She is a retired USA Gymnastics Level 9 gymnast, and has shared her understanding of movement as a  preschool through school age coach for the City University of New York - Queens College and Greater Toledo YMCA Gymnastics Center.  Equestrian Vaulting Coaches training received through the American Vaulting Association.   Cathy is also a Balanced Body Pilates Mat & Reformer instructor and uses these skills to enhance rider and vaulting fitness training.  Cathy enjoys providing confidence building experiences.  At home or away at performances or competitions, even the youngest and most novice riders and vaulters as well as school groups and Scout troops (for which she has been a leader for two troops through Cadette) can achieve their personal best.  In her spare time Cathy enjoys dance, Pilates, and the activities of her three school age children.  

Josie Reid

Vaulting Lounger, Lead Riding Instructor

Josie is a CHA Certified Level 3 Western Riding Instructor and a CHA Certified Level 2 English Riding instructor.  Josie is also an AVA member lounger for our Equestrian Vaulting program.  She brings years of active 4-H, lesson-assisting and horse-handling experience.   A student at the University of Toledo, she studies to pursue a career of therapy with horses.  With her warm, welcoming smile and soft words, she and our miniature horse George are perfect to lead our youngest riders 8 & Under.    She's also fantastic at getting the ground work going for the adult learners returning to riding and those just getting started at just the right pace.  She will have you leading, haltering and tacking up in no time!  Ready to ride under saddle?  She's got that covered, too!

Kelsy Maguire

Kelsy is a University of Findlay graduate with a degree in Equine Studies.  She brings years of intercollegiate and hunter/jumper circuit riding experience from as far as Florida.  In addition to starting our youngest riders off right, she helps the adult return to riding students regain their horsemanship confidence.  Kelsy is always willing to accompany you and one of our Ridge Run horses to local schooling shows at Leiway or Harry Hughes.    Even the youngest riders can participate in laid back show experiences with thier parents leading the horse!  Ready to learn how to lead, groom and tack your horse?  Kelsy can provide Horse Sense Ground School classes in any 30 minute riding lesson spot.

Savannah Soto

Lead Vaulting Gymnastics Coach

Savannah is a coach for both Ridge Run Vaulters and the Greater Toledo Gymnastics center for preschool through school age progressive gymnastics and team level competitors.  A retired leve 9 gymnast herself, she has embraced the opportuity to translate her gymnastics skills to the Equestrain Vaulting world as both coach and vaulter!    Savannah is also fun to have around for parties and private group horse events.

Sarah brings English Hunter, Jumper and Equitation riding and teaching experience from Harmony Hills Equestrian Center in Pembroke, Virginia and Bargee Farms in Allison Park, PA.  Sarah holds an Associates Degree in English Equestrian Studies from the University of Findlay, Findlay, OH.  Sarah will take you from that first lead line walk on top of a real horse to your first jump over a cross rail!  Sarah is also a blast to have around for horse camps.

Kira is a third year student at the University of Findlay.  With more than twelve years of equestrian experience, focusing mainly on hunters, jumpers and English equitation, she is ready to assist young, inexperienced riders in gaining horse experience!  She's also a ton of fun to play with during Summer camp games!
