Equestrian Vaulting! Riding Lessons!
Please note that all outdoor VAULTING classes for Week #6 our of 7 for the Winter 1 session, Sunday, February 17, 2019, have been reschudeled due to temperatures below 35F. All actively registered for the class have been automatically credited for this class and will be provided a coupon code for Winter 2 classes.
Winter 2 lessons and classes (7 weeks) begin Feb 25, 2019 and run through April 14, 2019. While the schedule is being finallized, it is anticipated that recreational vaulting classes will take place Tuesdays 4:30-5:30pm and include horse time for ages 9+. Any student under the age of 9 MUST have a parent remain with them in the ring with them at all times during the class as in a parent-child format. Following the recreational class, 30 minutes will be devoted to competitive team practice in contiuous mount/dismout flow with music.
Ridge Run Vaulters, our American Vauting Association Club Team will have practice on Sundays 4:30-5:30pm, focusing on pairs/pas de deux , routine development, and advanced skill building. These practices are ONLY on those Sundays not already devoted to AVA clinics, competitions or travel through the Region X Championships in September. The off-site travel schedule is being finalized and will be released by the end of February. Recreational students will be able to attend these practice sessions, when available, as a makeup to the regular Tuesday class. ALL are welcome to join our Club team! Routines can be performed on the barrel or horse, alone or with a partner. AVA Membership is required to compete from March - October. Unrecognized virtual competitions open to non-AVA members are available Nov - Feb.
Unlike Vaulting, Riding Lessons are a WEEKLY sign up. Week 1 of 7 begins February 25, 2019. Please cross-check your calendar from Winter 1 weather reschdules and fill in lessons as they meet your Spring Break and other travel commitments! Lesson packages will return with the Spring 2019 session. Due to the AVA Vaulting competition season, some lesson offerings may have changed.
