The Coaches

Eric Lovdahl runs the youth development clinics for the Twins, often held in Blaine. Lovdahl has pitched batting practice for the Twins for 10+ years and has connections at all levels of the Minnesota baseball community, and beyond. He operates Lovdahl Pitching Academy in the Twin Cities.

Kent “KO” Paulson is a regular at Twins Youth Development clinics and brings deep experience as a coach and player. He recently retired as an English teacher for Roseville Schools, and is a champion for developing character and bright futures for players.

Brian Raabe is head coach of Bethel University Baseball in St. Paul. He was an infielder for the Twins, Mariners and Rockies, as well as a former head coach for Forest Lake High School Baseball.

Special guests: Erik brings in college-level and professional connections for sessions with players in his program whenever possible. Last year, participants learned pitching from Nick Anderson, who is currently pitching for the Tampa Bay Rays. That means last year's participants learned from a pro who this year has struck out hitters like Bellinger, Harper and Machado. We can't guarantee guest trainers, but there’s always a chance to work with one of Lovdahl’s contacts if scheduling allows.

About the Training Series

  • Trainers will work with HS coaches to come up with your customized training plan that will include live, trainer-pitch hitting, game simulation pitching and infield work.
  • Coaches also teach mental toughness, baseball strategy and the importance of nutrition, character and good grades for future baseball success
  • We can take up to 20 players on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • If your child is not interested in pitching, the trainers will add time to their other stations.
  • We need at least 10 participants to make it work, so spread the word! We will offer refunds if not enough players sign up.
