Welcome! This is the official page of the Central Zone Athlete Division, which aims to holistically represent athletes from the Central Zone's 15 LSCs. The Central Zone Athlete Division is headed by the Central Zone Athlete Representative, a member of the USA Swimming Athletes Executive Committee who serves as chair of the Central Zone Athlete Committee.
The responsibilities and focuses of the Central Zone Athlete Committee are as follows:
- To promote and encourage inter-LSC communication between athlete representatives of the Central Zone at the annual USAS Convention and throughout the year.
- To train, encourage, and mentor incoming LSC athlete representatives, and provide them with tools to ensure success.
- To ensure 20% athlete representation at the annual Central Zone Meeting and on all Central Zone Committees and Task Forces.
- To ensure that non-athletes understand the unique perspective that athlete members bring to the table.
