Midlakes Diving

The Midlakes Dive League is a novice league designed to introduce young people to and encourage their enjoyment of diving in a safe and positive environment. Year-round club divers are welcome and will be provided for in this league. Participants must be active dues paying members of current Midlakes Clubs. Dive teams are sponsored at 6 of the Midlakes Clubs. Teams may be member-only, joint between two or more clubs, or open to all members of the other 26 Midlakes clubs. Three clubs are currently "open" and accepting divers from other Midlakes clubs.

ALL TEAMS - PARENT TRAINING

Mandatory – At least one parent for each diver must watch the Parent Orientation.

Mandatory - At least one parent for each diver must take the judging or scoring training or both. If a parent trained to score one season, then they should take the judging training in the next season.

Mandatory - Every diver, parent, and volunteer must take the SafeSport training.

Swimwear Exception Request - If your diver
would like to wear non-standard swimwear,
they will need an approved exception before
wearing it at a dive meet.

2024 Summer Dive Meet Schedule

All meets begin at 5:00 pm
"In-Person" or "Virtual Meet" format depends on pandemic restrictions and pool decisions.
If virtual, both the home team and away team host the meet at their own pools. Each provides 3 judges and share the scores later.

Please bring the following:
- Dive Sheets and AAU numbers for all divers participating in Dive Champs
- List of parent volunteers who will be working Champs for each pool; include phone #s for all volunteers
- Payment for all divers on your roster

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES:
Midlakes Head Coaches must be 18+, willing to get certified in CPR/First Aid or as a Lifeguard, able to work with youth athletes ages 6-17, and have college diving experience or 3 years of high school diving experience. Individual clubs may also hire assistant coaches or provide community service volunteer hours for high school assistant coaches. Please contact [email protected] for more information!
