LOCATION

COURSE

The facility is well lighted, with ample seating, and a fast 25-yard, 6-lane pool with baffle lane lines on the sides.

START TIME

Morning session (ages 9-10 and 11-12): warm-ups at 8:00-8:45 a.m., meet starts at 9:00 a.m. There will be a clerk of course for the am session.

Afternoon session (ages 8 and U, 13-14 and 15-18): warm-ups will begin after morning session is complete, but not before 12:00 p.m. Meet starts at 1:00 p.m.

There will be a clerk of course for 8 and Under only for the pm session.

ELIGIBILITY

Each swimmer must be a full member of the YMCA they represent, in accordance with league and national rules. Ages are determined by the swimmer’s age as of December 1, 2008.

ENTRY FEES

Individual events - $4 Relay events - $12 Deck entries: Individual events - $6 Relay events - $15

Each swimmer may compete in a maximum of three (3) individual events and two (2) relay events.

Deck entries will be accepted on a space-available basis and up to 30 minutes before the start of the morning and afternoon sessions.

RULES

AWARDS

Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in individual events and for 1st place in relay events.

Ribbons will be awarded to swimmers ages 14 and under for 4th through 10th place in individual events, and 2nd through 6th for relay events.

All heat winners will receive special lizard prizes. Team trophies will be awarded for 1st through 3rd place teams

ADMISSIONS

$5 for Adults; $3 for 5-12 years old; 5 years old and under are free.

Heat sheets are $2 each.

CONCESSIONS

A separate concession area including nutritious hot and cold selections will be available throughout the day. A DJ will provide YMCA-appropriate entertainment in the gymnasium during the meet.

A coaches and officials hospitality room will be stocked with food and beverages.

POOL RULES

Teams will set up in the Gym. No swimmers are allowed to remain in the pool or observation area. Our high school facility requests we respect the following rules:

1. No dark-soled shoes permitted in the gymnasium.

2. No shaving is permitted in the locker or restroom areas.

3. Absolutely no food or drink is permitted in the gymnasium.

4. Footwear must be worn at all times outside the pool deck area.

5. Absolutely no glass is permitted on the pool deck area.

6. No smoking is permitted on school grounds.

We will use a large part of the high school building for this meet. We recommend extra warm clothing for wear over wet swimsuits plus footwear.

CONDUCT

You are responsible for the conduct of your team before, during and after the meet. Teams are responsible for having swimmers behind the blocks on time. Swimmers not present at the start will be considered no-shows. Coach’s packets may be picked up in the hospitality room in the morning.
