Olympic Clinic with Kate Douglass and Josh Davis

What an unforgettable day at our YMCA!! We were thrilled to host an Olympic clinic led by the current World record holder and 2024 Olympic Champion in the 200 breaststroke, Kate Douglass, and the esteemed 1992&1996 gold medalist, Josh Davis. These two remarkable athletes captivated the hearts of over 125 swimmers today with their warmth and authenticity. We arranged an autograph and picture session, a Q&A session, and concluded the event with a 90-minute swim clinic, where many kids had the privilege of racing Kate. Kate made a lasting impression by swimming in each lane with the kids, connecting with many of them, and sharing outstanding drills that left a lasting impact. This experience is reminiscent of having Derek Jeter or Michael Jordan attend a baseball or basketball camp - an absolute dream come true!
