Senior Spotlight

Cindy DiNunzio

Every year the coaches like to take the time to recognize our JCC Sailfish Senior’s via email and at our banquet on Sunday April 14th.  This year we have one senior.

Our Senior is Julia Finke – Winchester Thurston

College Choices:    Bowdoin College, Oberlin College, Occidental College, University of Miami, Vassar College

Major:  Environmental Sciences and Spanish

1.  What is or was your most challenging or favorite high school class?  My favorite class is AP Art History, I highly recommend taking it, even if you’re not an artist!

2. What did you learn most about yourself as a student athlete?  I learned that you have to make sacrifices a lot of times, but it’s all worth it when you’re having fun and swimming best times with your friends.  Also, sleep is key.

3.  What did your coaches teach you most about being a student athlete?  My coaches taught me to always prioritize what is most important to me, not everyone else.  It’s important to communicate with coaches, and make sure that you’re on a good track.  Also, it’s going to be very painful at practices, but in the end, it feels so fulfilling to complete a hard set.

CONGRATULATIONS JULIA!
