Carmen Haslehurst - Head Coach
Meet our Viper Head  Coach, Carmen Haslehurst!!

I love learning! I have worked with children and teens to develop life skills and sports skills for over 40  years. I hold a B. A. In Recreation Administration from the U of A and have coached gymnastics at a variety of levels most of my life. I have been involved with the Vipers for 19 years and have been head coach for 6 years. Swimming and summer go together in my mind! The ASSA swim meets throughout our season give swimmers a chance to bond as well as track their progress throughout the season and over the years. Swimming is a great sport for families to be involved with!

Jackie Johnson - Mini Vipers!

Meet our Mini-Viper Coach, Jackie Johnson!

Hi! I have loved swimming and being in water from a very early age. I don’t remember not being able to swim!

I have been in Vermilion for almost 16 years with my 2 boys and have over 100 years of family history here. I started working at the pool in 2011 and have also been driving a school bus for the same amount of time. I became involved with Vermilion Vipers about 9 years ago, mostly focusing on our youngest, beginning swimmers, the Mini-Vipers!

Vipers Coach Kerry Zachar

   Meet our Coach, Kerry!!

Hi!  I’ve been swimming since I was little and love to share my love of swimming with kids.  I’ve been in Vermilion for about 10 years working as a kids’ physiotherapist in schools, clinic, homes and in the community.  I hope that we can have fun splashing around in the water, go to some meets together to have more fun, and grow in our love of sport!

Anna Willis - Assistant Coach!

Meet our Assistant Coach, Anna Willis

Hi! Growing up I was always around water. Wether it was at the lake or in a pool, swimming has been something I have enjoyed since I was very little. I grew up in Vermilion, but am currently attending the University of Saskatchewan to get my degree in elementary education. I believe physical activity is a crucial part of development and cannot wait to help the swimmers grow and create a healthy relationship with sports!
