The Westlock Gators Swim Club is a competitive summer swim club that offers opportunities for swimmers at various levels with various goals.  Each swimmer is unique and we try to tailor our program to fit the needs of each team member while respecting the balance between competition, fitness, and recreation.  While swimming is an individual sport, we do foster a very strong and positive team environment with awesome support from our coaches and mentoring from our veteran swimmers.

The club operates each summer from May 1 to mid-August out of the Westlock Aquatic Centre and begins each season with a FREE trial week May 1,2,6,7,8. Registration required.

Practice schedule:

Juniors: Kindergarten- Grade 2: 5:30pm-6:15pm Monday and Wednesdays (registration cap at 10)

Intermediate- Grade 3-Grade 6: 5:30pm-6:30pm Monday- Thursday (registration cap 20)

Seniors: Grade 7 and up: 6:00pm-7:30pm Monday-Thursday (registration cap 25) dry land will be on Mondays and Wednesdays 6:00pm-6:30pm

Please note that although we love to have kids out for all practices it is not mandatory.  Summer swim club allows for the flexibility needed with summer schedules but also provides something to do on the weeks you are home.

Swim Meets are typically Saturdays in June and July with regional and provincial competitions in August.  Swimmers can chose to attend some or all swim meets.

To join our club:  Swimmers must be at least 5 years old and must be able to swim 1 length of the pool unassisted.

The Westlock Gators is affiliated with the Alberta Summer Swimming Association (ASSA) & Swim Alberta
