Canadian Olympic Swimming Trials Day 2

Cascade Office

20 June 2021 (Toronto, ON) - The second day of racing for Cascade saw more solid swims all-around with Kameron Brill and Justin Lisoway competing in the 100m breaststroke. Brill was solid in the prelims in 1:07.89 while Justin threw out a lifetime best in 1:03.52 for 10th and the last spot into the final. Justin’s swim in the morning was a best time by 1.35 seconds - out in 28.83 and back in 34.69.

In the final Lisoway was off the blocks Dressel-like with solid underwater and up to the front of the field through the 1st 25m. At the 50 he was out ever so slower than the morning in 28.94 and back in 34.53. A new lifetime best was the result in 1:03.47.

Not only did Justin hit up a new best time he also moved up one spot from 10th to 9th. It doesn’t get much better than that for results with best times all around and moving from 14th seed to 10th and then 9th overall.

Racing continues tomorrow through until Wednesday.
