AA Champs Day 2

Day 2 was another excellent day for the Hyack swimmers. After prelims, Hyack had 6 swimmers make it to finals. Sabrina Porreca, Tom Sun, Dilip Rathinakumar, Jelena Mitrovic, Carrian Leung, and Jamie Engman all had individual events in finals. Out of 10 total swims, there were 9 best times. 5 medals were earned after exquisite individual efforts. First medal came when Tom swam a 1:17.61 in the 100 Back, earning him a Gold medal. Tom also became the third new AAA qualifier. In the 200 Free, Tom went a 2:34.47 for a Bronze medal. His 3^rd medal was another Gold in the 100 Fly. Also in the 100 Fly, Dilip swam a best time of 1:24.96 for a Silver medal. Jamie Engman swam an awesome 100 Fly, moving from 5^th place after prelims to 2^nd place after finals, earning her a Silver medal.

From the relays, the 12 & under girls swam quite well. The 13 & under girls swam a solid free relay and received a Bronze medal for their efforts.
