EKI Day 4

We have had a great meet here.  The Keyano organization has run a top notch meet where our swimmers who attended have been able to accomplish very good early season results at or better than short course conversion best times.  The value of this type of a meet experience cannot be undersold.

The final session began with our tough 200 flyers. Mia Bottrill claimed bronze in a close battle out touching her opponent on the wall with a 2:50.80 a nice b-day present to herself. May Li was next and raced another close one to get silver, half a stroke back. Stefan returned to win 200 fly to take the lead in the aggregate competition.  Stefan had a short break and handily won the 100 back in 1:03.98 which is a new club record; previously held by Andrew Cho since 1993.  Next was Sara Whelan in 200 Breast who won silver.   A short break later and Sara returned in the 100 free and raced to 6th.  Our final race was Stefan in 100 free. He came in second with 56.66 and also won the aggregate in the process. Another club record smashed; the last record held by Graham Wood set in 1994 !!!

Hyack swimmers come home with 13 medals between the 5 of them...Great job guys !!
