AAA Champs Wrap-up
Hyack swimmers made a big splash at the Long Course Provincial Championship, placing the team 4th overall. “We have seen our team presence take a step forward over the last few provincial championships. The swimmers have been gaining strength to take a run against the upper echelon teams to not only swim well on their best events but also some other events that they wanted to score for the team point race. It takes a lot of psychological endurance to be able to swim well over 5 days and stay committed to your event slate and deliver those performances” stated Head Coach Mark Bottrill. “I believe we still have more in the tank, and with this positive outcome it establishes we can get to the next level”.
