AAA Champs 2012 SC Final Day

Started off the evening with Haydn's silver and Sherry's gold in the 400fr. Sherry's 400 is also the swim of the meet! She broke her own club record and had an excellent race. Definitely brought a lot of excitement to the rest of the night. Next medal was Abi's bronze in the 200bk. Stefan swam an awesome 200bk after and got a gold and a new club record! Then came 10 year old Kiana's 100br silver. She swam a blistering 50 and got a new club record in the 50br split. Next up on the podium was Ethan, with a gold in the 100br. Sara swam a great race and got a bronze for her efforts. Chris was up next with a new meet record by almost 4 seconds in the 200fly and a gold. Also got his first Westerns time! Abi was up again; this time she got herself a gold in the 200fly. Last up was Stefan again with a great swim in the 200fly and a bronze medal.

We began finals sitting in 6th place after relays from last night. It was an exciting night with us and Rapids battling it out for 5th spot. In the end, we managed to get that 5th place finish. Great job team!.....Long course, here we come!!!
