Hyack Wins EKI Small Team

Our 200 flyers prospered tonight. Hattie Sun raced to 4th, Mia raced to silver just 3/100 off the win, Chris out raced everyone to claim gold an a new meet record (breaking the old one set in 1985) and gold for Stefan and the silver to Justin with Igor 5th.
In the 100 free Sara moved up from the morning to grab silver, Elaine went a PB at 7th while the boys had to deal with the B final.
100 backstroke saw Hattie come 7th Mia in the B at 6th and Inder 7th with a good swim.
400 free finishes the individual swims for the meet and Sara worked diligently through the race to pick up silver. Stefan went head to head with the Keyano swimmer to come in silver.
The 400 Medley relay for girls was a solid effort with 12 year old Hattie Sun setting the tone for the team. They finished 7th overall. The boys continued their hot hand in the relays to come in third with an outstanding last stroke finish by Justin.
Stefan won the aggregate for 16-17 boys along with the FINA high point trophy for best swim in the meet.
Chris Baker has set the club record in the 50 and 100 fly which was swim previously.
Hyack wins the small team trophy for teams under 19 swimmers and finished 9th overall. Many second swims, medals, club records and some great historical meet records for this group. Well done.
