Age Group Nationals Day 1

Octavia Lau won gold in the 1500 free in her best time and a new club record. Working her way through the first 500 she took the lead for good and handily finished first.
Brodie Young earned silver in the 1500 in a tremendous battle as he dug in deep and refused to relinquish second place. It was his first national medal and also a Trials time in this event. Brodie also just missed a medal in the 50 Br by .01.
Sehajvir Singh finished 4th just off a national standard in the 200 Bk. Zoe Froh was 4th in the 1500.
Amar Fezjic who had a tremendous morning swim finished 8th in 100 fly.
Stella Jin while finishing 7th broke the 15-17 Girls 100 fly club record set by Pam Rai in 1986. Andy Cho was 4th in 1500. Eric Su 6th in 1500. Micah Lau was 7th as well in the 1500.
Martin Dimitrov swam a solid heats swim 100 fly for 9th.
Hyack is currently in the top 10 clubs at the championships. The boys are tied for 3rd and we are 6th overall.
