KSC Adds 5 More Swimmers to Championship Roster

Killarney Swim Club was in fine form last weekend at the AB Provincial Trials.  This competition was the last chance for swimmers to qualify for the Alberta Provincial Championships.  Swimmers needed to either win an event at Trials or make two Championship Qualifying Times.

Killarney was represented by 32 swimmers.  The team produced an amazing 195 personal best times!  The team captured 22 medals including 8 Gold.  Advancing to the Championships from this competition are: Kinjal Chatterjee, Kyle Kidd, Maisey Philips, Eden Wong, and Michael Woo.

Individual Gold Medals were won by:

  • Kinjal Chatterjee (50 fly), Kyle Kidd (50 BR & 100 BR), Maisey Philips (50 Fly), Eden Wong (50 FR & 100 IM)

Relay Gold Medals:

  • 13 & Under Medley: Eden Wong, Michael Woo, Kinjal Chatterjee, Valentin Shpak
  • 14 & Under Medley Relay: Anna Washbrook, Kyle Kidd, Maisey Philips, Peyton Pelham

Other Medal winners:

  • Keelin Booth (50 FR & 100 IM), Mikaela Kirchmayer (200 BR), Shaela Rideout (100 Fly), Kael Ruzicka (100 BR & 200 BR), Shirley Tu (50 BR & 100 BR), Pablo Zendejas (100 BK), Male 13 & under free relay, Female 14 & Under Free Relay.

The team now has its sights set on the AB Championships that take place this week in Edmonton.  The team will be represented by 31 swimmers.
