Coaching Staff
Mike Meldrum Head Coach/Performance Group

Mike has been the Head Coach for Killarney Swim Club for over 20 years.  He brings a wealth of swimming experience to the organization.  Under Meldrum's tenure, the club has grown from 50 swimmers to 240.  

Mike is a Level 3 Certified Coach and is currently working on his Advanced Coaching Diploma.  

As an athlete Mike competed with the best in the world. In 1988, Mike was a member of the Canadian Olympic Team to Seoul Korea.  There he competed in the 400 IM.  Meldrum also competed at the World Championships, Commonwealth Games, Pan Pacs, and Pan Am Games.  

Mike swam for the University of Calgary Dinos, winning several CIAU championships. 

Mike is married to Tania, and father of two daughters.

Brad Mori Assistant Head Coach/Senior

Coach Brad joined Killarney in 2012.  He has helped to reshape all areas of the Killarney technical programming.  The club has improved performances on all levels from novice to National.   His attention to the 5 technical fingers (start, streamline, stroke, turn, finish) and his ability to teach the progression have been fundamental to swimmer improvement.  Brad also takes pride in the mentorship program that has seen Killarney staff grow and deliver a detailed technical program through all the stages of the Long-Term Athlete Development plan. 

Previously Brad served as Head Coach and Director of Swimming for the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns and Lethbridge Amateur Swim Club (LASC) for 7 seasons.  Mori successfully rebuilt all areas of program from grassroots to international levels using a fundamental philosophy.

Coach Mori has completed many NCCP level 4 tasks and the Advanced Coaching Diploma.  He was a Provincial Stroke Coach and Swim AB Tour Coach for 10+ years.  Brad is a current member of the Alberta Coaches Council. Since 2009, Brad has been a member of the Canadian Coaches Association and is a Chartered Coach.

Brad completed a teaching degree (B.A/B.Ed.), with distinction, majoring in Kinesiology at the University of Lethbridge in 2002.

Brad’s swimming career began in Markham.  As an age group swimmer, Brad’s relay teams set several Canadian Age Group National Records in the 13-14 and 15-17 categories.  Brad swam one year at the Georgia Southern University before transferring to the U of L Pronghorns.  Mori was a school record holder, World Cup Finalist, and won many CIS and Canada West Medals.  In the Summer of 1999 Mori was the Canadian National Champion in the 50m Breaststroke.

Brad is married to Lindsay and is father of two young boys. 

In his free time, Coach Mori enjoys, a variety of activities, including: Fishing, Golfing, Swimming, Running, and watching Maple Leaf Hockey.

Natasha Senkow Intermediate Coach/Sprocket 2 Lead

Natasha has been coaching for over 12 years and has experience with swimmers ranging from Novice to Junior National Levels.   She enjoys helping swimmers reach their goals.  

Natasha is married to Curits and has 3 children.  

Morgan Meldrum JR2 Lead

Morgan is currently in her 6th year as a coach with Killarney Swim Club, where her journey began as a swimmer. She spent a decade competing for Killarney, progressing from the Sprockets group to the Performance group. Being the daughter of Mike Meldrum, the head coach of Killarney, Morgan has been deeply involved in competitive swimming from an early age, inheriting a wealth of knowledge and passion for the sport.

Academically, Morgan is pursuing studies at Mount Royal University. She is in her final year, working towards a BBA with a focus on Marketing. Additionally, she is pursuing a double minor in Public Relations and Business in Sports and Recreation.

Tammy Andersen SPK Coordinator/Sprocket 3 Lead/JR1Lead

This is Tammy's first year with the Killarney Swim Club.  She will be lead Sprocket Coordinator and Sprocket 3 Lead Coach. 

Tammy has been coaching for over 20 years, previously as the Head Coach of the Glenmore Seals Swim Club, and the Okotoks Stingrays Summer Swim Club. She also worked as an assistant Coach with the Calgary Tritons and with The City of Calgary developing their Conditioning Swim Programs (youth and adult). She expanded her international knowledge by coaching Junior National Level Swimmers in Limburg Belgium while attending university and majoring in Education. 

She currently works at MNP Center with their 3433 Sport Performance Program and offers group and private sessions.

Coach Katelyn Buckley SR Assistant

Katelyn is in her first year Coaching with Killarney Swim Club.  Katelyn is also a current member swimming in the Performance Group.

David Thibodeau SR Assistant

David joined Killarney Swim Club in 2023 as the Senior Assistant Coach. David started coaching in 2011 with the Fredericton Aquanauts Swim Team and has also coached with ROC Swimming and Carleton Masters in Ottawa. He is a former swimmer reaching Junior Nationals and competing for Team New Brunswick at the 2013 Canada Summer Games.

Coach Liam Durda Sprocket 3 Assistant/JR2 Assistant

Liam is in his third season Coaching for Killarney Swim Club.  Liam was formerly a competitive swimmer for KSC swimming at the AB Championship level.  Durda is attending the University of Calgary and spends a lot of time playing Rugby.

Coach Grace Mills-Rush Sprocket 1Lead & Int Assistant

Grace is in her first year as lead coach for Sprocket 1.  Mills-Rush is a former KSC swimmer swimming at the AB Provincial Level.  Grace is enthusiatic with her coaching style and has been on staff 3 seasons.

Coach Luke Allen Sprocket 2 Assistant/JR1 Assistant

Luke is a former Killarney Swimmer (8+ Seasons).  Luke Competed at the AB Championship Level.  Luke joined the Killarney Coaching staff for a short stint before heading to the University of Lethbridge.  Luke has recently graduated and has returned to Killarney to resume coaching duties.

Coach Maisey Phillips Sprocket 1 Assistant

Coach Maisey is a former KSC competitive swimmer. Maisey competed at the AB Championshp Level.  This is coach Phillips first year coaching.

Coach Jessica White Sprocket 1 Assistant

Coach Jessica is in her first season with Killarney Swim Club.  White is currently attending University of Calgary.  Previously Jessica coached with Alberta Summer Swimming Association and was a summer club swimmer.
