Update on Langley Pools
Dear Families,
We hope you had a great thanksgiving weekend!
We would like to send you an update pertaining to our pool locations. As of today, we have over 60 members registered in our programs from Mini Olympians to National Group. Our operations are definitely smaller than before due to the limitations that we currently have on gatherings and swimming pool bather loads. However, despite this, our coaches and swimmers are working hard to ensure everyone is having a great and safe learning experience!
As an update to families, the Township of Langley Parks and Recreation staff have expressed their intent in opening the WC Blair pool sometime in early November in addition to keeping the Aldergrove Pool open. If this is the case, we are intending to move our Mini Olympians, Olympic Way, and Stroke Improvement and Conditioning Groups to WC Blair. All of the competitive groups will remain in the Aldergrove Pool.
The second scenario that we hope can occur is Walnut Grove Pool re-opening again. Council voted to get more information on re-opening of pools and will vote on this October 26. If this is the case, we are anticipating to return all of our programs back to Walnut Grove Pool. WC Blair families may be allotted space at Walnut Grove should WC Blair not re-open.
In these two scenarios, we still have not received information from the Township pertaining to the bather loads. Once we have more information, we will email everyone a schedule and times for each group. Please note that the information above is not final and may be subject to change. All spots for groups may also be limited depending on the allotted space we have.
