LOSC SWIMMERS in TOP 2 of LEADERBOARDS! -- Swimming Canada Jr Ranking Series (Stage 1) Results

Zachary Haw

On the Summer of 2021, Swimming Canada launched a Jr Ranking Series. These are from male swimmers born 2003-2006 and female swimmers born 2004-2007.The swimmers that are Top 2 (all events except 100/200 Free) and Top 4 for 100 & 200 Freestyle for both SCM and LCM of the leaderboards after August 15, 2021 will be recognized and rewarded by Swimming Canada.

Please find below for the rationale:

Due to the recent announcement that Canada will not attend the 2021 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships, Swimming Canada will run a series of Junior Ranking initiatives between May 15 and August 15, 2021.

The swimmers, coaches and clubs involved in the process of training for and/or being selected to and competing at the World Junior Championships is an extremely important target group in the continuing development of Canada’s future international success.

While the ranking series project will in no way replace the experience of competing for a team spot at our domestic Trials and/or competing in a World Junior Championships, we hope to keep swimmers, coaches and clubs motivated and engaged while training and racing in house during the current COVID-19 health restrictions with some recognition and reward.

Stage 1 of the Challenge included performances from May 15-June 15. Multiple LOSC swimmers placed top two in the leaderboards (both SCM and LCM) that ranked Top 2 of all submissions within the country!

Congratulations to the following swimmers for their achievement:
