OS Scores Big at Summer Nationals

Jacqueline Lee

Huge congratulations are in place for the OS National Team that spent the last week in Toronto competing against the toughest competition in the country. Pressures ran high as the swimmers raced for days on end at such a prestigious event that they had worked towards all season. In the end, they showed out with fantastic results in both individual and relay events, scoring 5 Gold, 4 Silver and 9 Bronze. Furthermore, Becca, Alex, Danny, Shae, Leila, Matteo, Vivienne, Justin and Phoenix were awarded with “Swimmer of the Day” for not only their results but also shows of courage, resilience, and teamwork. After 7 days of racing, OS finished an impressive 5th place out of 130 teams, with a combined score of 1824 points. Congratulations to Danny Park for breaking the OS Club Records in the 50m, 100m and 200m Butterfly with a time of 26.31, 56.61 and 2:04.87, respectively.

Head Coach Ryan Skomorowski would like to congratulate the swimmers on wrapping up their season with fantastic swims that have reflected the endless hours dedicated to training and furthering their swimming journeys. He wants to applaud the swimmers on stepping up for their teammates and showing us what it means to be high-performance swimmers through not just their results but their attitudes. Ryan now wishes everyone a great summer and cannot wait to see you all rested and rejuvenated for next season!
