Why NCSA Fundraises:
NCSA is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. As a not-for-profit organization, our primary goal is to create opportunities for everyone in the community to enjoy the benefits of swimming. To make this a reality, fundraising is essential for several reasons:
-
Keeping Fees Affordable and Accessible: One of our main priorities is to ensure that the sport remains accessible to as many community members as possible. By raising funds, we can offset operational costs, keeping fees lower for participants. This allows families with varying financial backgrounds to join the club without financial barriers. When we fundraise, we help ensure that swimming is a viable activity for everyone, regardless of income.
-
Improving Equipment: Fundraising allows us to invest in maintaining and upgrading our swimming equipment. This includes replacing worn-out gear, and improving safety features. Contributions help us provide a high-quality training environment for swimmers of all levels, helping them to reach their full potential.
-
Supporting Coach Development and Training: Quality coaching is a critical part of our success, and fundraising helps us ensure that our coaches are well-trained and up-to-date with the latest swimming techniques and training methods. By investing in our coaching staff, we are providing a better experience for our swimmers, which leads to improved performance, safety, and overall enjoyment.
-
Offering Scholarships and Financial Aid: In line with our commitment to inclusivity, fundraising helps us provide scholarships and financial aid to swimmers who might otherwise be unable to afford to participate. We believe that financial limitations should not prevent anyone from taking part in a sport that promotes health, teamwork, and discipline.
-
Creating Community Engagement and Support: When we fundraise (like bottle drives), we bring our community together. It fosters a sense of unity and collaboration as everyone works towards a common goal. The funds raised directly benefit the people who contribute, creating a strong, vibrant, and connected community.
-
Expanding Programming and Events: Fundraising enables us to offer additional programs, such as swim meets, camps, or clinics, which can enhance the experience of our members. This helps to create a well-rounded swim program that not only teaches the technical aspects of swimming but also instills life skills like teamwork, goal-setting, and resilience.
-
Ensuring Long-Term Sustainability: As a not-for-profit, we depend on fundraising efforts to ensure the longevity and stability of the club.
