With a passion for competition, Josh is excited to be back at the pool this season. He’s been coaching with the club since 2017, and is a familiar face on the deck. Josh swam with the club for just over a decade, starting in 2004, & travelled all over North America for various meets and training camps. Josh completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology degree at the University of Winnipeg, graduating in February 2021. When he wasn't in the classroom or at the pool, Josh played 5 seasons of university ultimate frisbee. Josh has experience coaching away from the pool deck as he has also coached basketball from the grassroots to junior varsity level in various SJSD schools. Josh shadowed under former Head Coach, Ian Grunewald, as both an athlete and coach. Josh is a NCCP Level 2 - "Age Group" Certified swim coach, NCCP Level 1 certified multisport coach, & NCCP Level 1 trained Track & Field coach. Josh was the recipient of the 2022/23 Swim Manitoba Eric Suthon Coach of the Year Award (Grassroots).
Coach Cam has been the self-elected president of AGE for 2 years. His swim practices are sometimes difficult but always fun! No matter the time of day or circumstance, Cam always displays his glorious AGE spirit through a combination of "heel clicking" and hilarious jokes. Cam has several talents such as juggling and doing a triple jump with a skipping rope. Below is a secret message from Cam.
I’ve been involved in the swimming community for the last 13 years! The first 7 years of my journey were spent as a swimmer for the Steinbach skimmers and I’ve been coaching with them for the last 5. When I’m not on the pool deck you can find me at Starbucks or looking at plants. I’m currently in university and I’ll be finishing up my science degree at Christmas. I’m so excited to be joining the Seals this year!
Hi, my name is Rosie! I am 18 years old and this will be my first year coaching. I began swimming with the St. James Seals when I was 5 years old and continued to swim with them for 12 years until I graduated high school in 2023. This will be my first year coaching, however I have spent the past three summers teaching swimming lessons. I absolutely love working with kids around the water. Outside of the pool, I am in my second year at the University of Manitoba where I am studying sciences. I look forward to seeing you on deck and around the pool!
Hi, I’m Maddie! I have been swimming for 13 years, 7 years were with the Winnipeg Wave and the past 6 years with the St. James Seals. This year I will be returning to the team as both a new coach and a varsity athlete, and I am in my first year at the University of Winnipeg, studying kinesiology. I am so excited to be coaching and I look forward to crushing it in and out of the water this season!
