Winter Championships Season ends with the Eastern Canadian Open in Quebec City. This Junior National event had two SWAT participants this year in its Final rendition before the National Competition Calendar flips to the new SNC format. We had 5 best times and scored points (TOP 20) in 8 events including 6 Finals swims: 1 A final (Top 10), 5 B final (11-20). The swimmers also rewrote 3 club records in the 15O Male LCM category.

Ethan Kershaw posted a best time in the 100 Backstroke in the B final, in a club record 1:02.16. He made an A final in the 200 Backstroke and scored points in the timed finals 800 and 1500 Freestyle events. Eugene Legge worked to best times and B final appearances in the 100 and 200 Backstrokes, and the 50 and 200 Freestyles. He set a new club record in the 200 Freestyle in a strong 2:00.70 second swim from the outside lane. He also set a club record in an exciting B final 50 Freestyle winning 24.80.

At the conclusion of the weekend both boys have qualified for Canadian Junior Championships in the Toronto in the Summer.
