Alexis Safo-Agyeman (Owner and Coach)
Coach Alexis is from West Hartford, Connecticut and has been in the cheerleading community for over 15 years. Alexis is a former high school and colligate cheerleader at Eastern Connecticut State University and in 2009, she began her professional cheerleading career as the Assistant Varsity Coach at her alma mater Conard High School in West Hartford, CT. During her 7 years coaching at Conard High School Alexis, along with her coaching staff successfully competed in state wide competitions, and most notably placed second in the CCC West division conference championship five consecutive years in a row.
Danielle Simon (Director)
Danielle Simon, Program Director brings a wealth of experience to CT HART CHEER. Danielle has cheered in high school, collegiate and all star programs. Danielle Simon most recently was the spirit coordinator at the University of Hartford overseeing their DI cheer and dance programs. Danielle was a coach at Hall High School from 2012-18. She led Hall to the 2016 co-ed state championship. Additionally, Simon served as the interim cheer coach at UConn from 2014-15. She has also served as a sales representative for Varsity Brands from 2015-2020.
Jason Zamorano (Coach)
Coach Jason has been coaching since 2019. As a former high school cheerleader he most notably graced the air as a flyer for Hall in 2016 when they brought home their first ever co-ed state championship. After graduating high school Coach Jason continued his cheerleading career at Airborne Elite on their open Co-Ed 4 team, taking home a coveted jacket at US Finals in Virginia Beach. Coach Jason began coaching at CT Hart Cheer in 2019 with our tiny novice team and now is the head coach of our level 1 Rising Stars. You can find Coach Jason tumbling, working his roundoff double back wherever there is a ground to tumble on or you might catch him keeping in tip touch shape running miles daily through the streets of West Hartford.
Arnold Joseph (Coach)
Coach Arnold has been involved in cheering as a coach for the past 10 years. After graduating from Hartford Public High School, Arnold returned back to begin assisting his former coach.After many years of assisting, Arnold is now the proud head cheerleading coach at his alma mater Hartford Public High School. Arnold is an OG at CT Hart Cheer where he has been coaching since the doors opened, and has coached his athletes for the past three season. Alongside coaching, Arnold is passionate about the field of education. Arnold is now pursing his degree in teaching where he looks forward to bringing the same passion and energy to students he shows in the gym as a teacher in the classroom. In his free time you can always find Coach Arnold perfecting his tumbling or dancing skills
Courtney Martin (Coach)
Courtney Martin joins the CT Hart Cheer family with over 15 years of cheerleading and dance experience. Courtney cheered for East Hartford High School bringing home multiple state and conference championships. After high school she cheered for Southern Connecticut State University bringing home second at UCA College Nationals. She also worked for NCA for 4 years. Courtney was the coach of Northwest Catholic High School for 6 years where she grew the program and brought home two CCC West Championships in 2019 & 2020. Courtney enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Sean and their two dogs, Bindi & Rusty.
