TRAFFIC ADVISORY: I-84

 TRAFFIC ALERT for this Weekends' Meets in Southbury and Cheshire

Traffic will be diverted off I-84 starting at 9 p.m. Friday while crews tear out the rusted bridge over Marion Avenue in Southington and slide in new, 2-million-pound spans that have already been constructed nearby. The interstate is scheduled to reopen Monday at 5 a.m.

In the interim, motorists will be detoured off I-84 at the Exit 30 ramps and back on again past the half-mile construction zone, but delays are likely to be extensive.
