USA SWIMMING ANNOUNCES 2025 SCHOLASTIC ALL AMERICA TEAM

Congratulations Brody Engelstad, class of 2026 and Isaiah Ayers, class of 2027 for being selected for the 2025 Scholastic All America Team.  Both boys swim for West Fargo Flyers and represent their West Fargo Packers High School team.  Congratulations also to each family and the respective coaching staff for all their support for each student athlete.

USA Swimming Scholastic All America applicants must have completed 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, hold a 3.5 GPA for the current academic year and meet the below criteria for pool swimmers, open water swimmers, or swimmers with disabilities. If an athlete competes in more than one category (e.g., pool and open water), only one complete application is necessary.

Pool Swimmers: Applicants must have swum an individual pool race time equal to or faster than the 2025 Winter Junior National qualifying time standard in any individual event during the SAA qualifying period.

Open Water Swimmers: Applicants must have swum an individual pool race time equal to or faster than the 2025 Winter Junior National qualifying time in the 800m, 1000y, 1500m, or 1650y freestyle during the SAA qualifying period. Additionally, applicants must have participated in the 2025 Open Water National Championships. If an applicant wishes to be recognized as an open water swimmer, the applicant must select that on the application.

Swimmers with Disabilities: Applicants must have swum an individual pool time equal to or faster than the 2024-25 Para Scholastic All-America Standards in any individual event noted within their self-reported P1, P2, or P3 grouping during the SAA qualifying period. A cap of 56 athletes will be named, with two per event and gender.

For the 2023 to 2024 program, 1,790 athletes grades 9-12 met the SAA criteria, increasing the number by over 650 individuals compared to the previous year. The Southern Zone had the highest number of athletes honored, with 581. North Carolina Swimming had 139 athletes and SwimMAC Carolina placed 33 of those. Additionally, 12 athletes met the Para Scholastic All-America standards, and three open water swimmers were honored.
