Dear Destiny Dance Parents,

I hope this message finds you well! We are thrilled to announce the details for our upcoming Winter Showcase and dress rehearsal. Please review the information below carefully to ensure a smooth and successful event for all our dancers.

Event Details

Winter Showcase

  • Date: Saturday, December 15th
  • Location: All-Souls Episcopal Church
    2300 Cathedral Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008
    • The church has a parking lot, but please note it is limited and operates on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additional street parking and a nearby parking lot are available.

Dress Rehearsal

  • Date: Monday, December 10th
  • Location: Same as showcase location

Rehearsal Schedule & Arrival Times

We will begin with our All-Souls dancers, followed by McLean students. Below is the detailed rehearsal timeline:

All-Souls Dancers

  • Miss Tiffany's Tuesday Classes

    • Twinkle Toes Ballet: 3:30 PM
    • Pre-Ballet: 4:00 PM
    • Petite Hip-Hop: 4:30 PM

  • Miss Sydney's Saturday Classes

    • Twinkle Toes Ballet: Arrive by 5:00 PM
    • Pre-Ballet and Pre-Ballet II: Arrive by 5:00 PM

  • Miss April's Monday Classes

    • Pre-Ballet I: 5:00 PM
    • Junior Hip-Hop: 5:30 PM

  • Miss April's Saturday Classes

    • Junior Ballet: Arrive by 7:00 PM
    • Junior Jazz: Arrive by 7:00 PM

McLean Students

  • Monday & Saturday Petite and Junior Hip-Hop (Mr. Nilton & Miss Sydney): 5:45 PM
  • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Teen Ballet, Jazz, & Modern (Miss Sydney, Miss April, Miss Kelly): 6:30 PM
  • Miss Sydney's Saturday Junior Modern: 6:00 PM

Important Notes About Arrival Times

On  show day (Saturday, December 15th) ,  students should arrive at 3:30 PM  to ensure they are prepared and ready for the performance.

  • If your dancer is in more than one lesson, please have them arrive at the earliest scheduled call time for their group.
  • We recommend that all students arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled time to ensure they are dressed, prepared, and ready to begin on time.
  • Parents are to stay for your dancers scheduled rehearsal. 

Attire Guidelines

To ensure uniformity during the performance, please follow these attire guidelines:

  • Hip-Hop Dancers: Wear black pants (we will provide the top).
  • Ballet Dancers: Wear skin-tone ballet tights and ballet shoes.
  • Jazz Dancers: Wear black Jazz pants/leggings and black Jazz shoes.

If you need to purchase dance tights, they will be available for purchase and can be brought to All-Souls on Tuesday.

Hair:

  • Hip-Hop & Jazz: Hair should be styled in a ponytail or bun.
  • Ballet: Hair should be styled in a ballet bun.

Ticket Information

Tickets for the Winter Showcase are now available for purchase! You can use the link below to secure tickets for family and friends:

  • Tickets are $10 each.
  • Dance rental fee: $20 (This will be charged to your account on December 8th. We apologize for the delay in processing this charge.)
