EVERY FAST SWIMMER ACHIEVES LIFETIME BESTS AT ORANGE COUNTY MEET

Placentia, CA -- Last weekend 101 FAST swimmers from the Junior 1, Junior 2, National Age Group, Pre-Senior, and Senior 1 groups raced at the meet hosted by STOP.  Every FAST swimmer achieved one or more lifetime bests for a team total of 365 best times!
 
Among the best times were 41 new USA Swimming National Age Group time standards:
  • New BB times - 9
  • New B times - 32
Huge time improvements were commonplace for FAST all weekend, even in the shorter (50, 100) distances!  Drops of 5 seconds or more were posted by Chelsea Badral (100 Free, 50 Back, 50 Breast), Lincoln Chen (50 Free), Katelyn Cockerill (100 IM, 200 Free), Emma Espiritu (50 Free), Leandro Espiritu (100 Breast, 100 Free), Valentina Flores (100 Fly, 100 Free), Mateo Jimenez (50 Back), Nathan Ju (50 Breast), Vera Kwan (100 IM), Myler Kang (100 Breast, 50 Breast, 500 Free), Kaitlyn Kao (100 Fly), Javier Kikawa (100 Back, 100 IM), Joaquin Kikawa (200 Free), Lucia Kikawa (100 Back, 200 Free), Allison Kim (100 Fly, 100 Free), Wilton Le (100 IM), Jayden Lee (100 Back, 100 IM), Rachel Lee (200 IM), Evelyn Liu (50 Breast), Shereen Madi (200 IM), Olivia Maldonado (50 Back), Isaac No (100 IM), Liam No (50 Back), Liam Park (50 Fly), Karis Ramirez (50 Breast), Austin Sattler (50 Free), Ayla Shields (50 Breast), Emma Shue (50 Fly), Evangeline Wanke (50 Fly), and Hannah Zajc (50 Free).
 
The largest time improvement of the meet for the girls came from Ellie Calabrese who cut 19.59 seconds in the 100 Fly for a final time of 2:06.24!  Ellie also had monster drops in the 100 Free (9.84 seconds) and 100 IM (6.65 seconds).  The largest time improvement of the meet for the boys was posted by Allan Webber Wrias with an incredible drop of 25.62 seconds in the 100 Fly for a final time of 1:15.55!  Allan also improved by large margins in the 50 Fly (8.14 seconds) and 200 Free (7.71 seconds).
 
Nineteen FAST swimmers posted best times in all of their races.  A special congratulations to Devin Allison, Katelyn Cockerill, Xavier Cruz, Annaliese Do, Leandro Espiritu, Amilya Heffernan, Nathan Ju, Vera Kwan, Wilton Le, Rachel Lee, Isaac No, Angela Park, Jisung Park, Matthew Park, Stella Park, Emma Shue, Evangeline Wanke, Hannah Zajc, and Matthew Zajc!
