2014 NASA Elite Showcase Classic Results

April 16 – 19, The Long Center, 1501 N Belcher Rd, Clearwater, FL

8 Jupiter Dragons swimmers - Michaela Avedisian, Jacqueline Bedard, Pace Edwards, Brandon Hiebert, Lucy Miller, Heidi Smithwick, Hana Song and Joshua Zuchowski, traveled to Clearwater FL for the 2014 NASA Showcase Classic past week. The meet is a single-age championship meet that attracts some of the nation's best 14 and under age group swimmers from across the country.

As a team, Jupiter Dragons finished 14^th in the combined team score out of 101 teams represented by 740 swimmers.

Joshua Zuchowski achieved 10 AAAA times won the High Point Award for Boys 9 year old placing 1st in 9 individual events - 50&100 Free, 50&100 Back, 50 Breast, 50&100 Fly, 100&200 IM and a 2nd on 500 Free. Josh took home a plaque and a new backpack. He established 9 New Team Records! Based on his short course times Josh is ranked # 1 in the Nation IMX challenge run by USA Swimming for Boys 9&Under!

Lucy Miller achieved 7 AAAA, 3 AAA times swam in 9 finals placing 2^nd on 500 Free, 3^rd on 50 Free, 100 IM and 3^rd place over all score for Girls 10 year old and setting 6 New Team Records!

Heidi Smithwick achieved 4 AAAA, 2 AAA times swam in 5 finals placing 5^th on 50 Fly, 6^th on 50 Breast, 7^th on 100 Fly and 9^th on 100&200 IM for 10&Under Girls and setting 2 New Team Records!

Michaela Avedisian swam 100 Breast in finals placing 9^th with a AAA time!

Pace Edwards achieved 2 AAA times placed 15th on 500 Free and 16^th on 200 Free for 10 year old Boys!

Brandon Hiebert achieved 3 AAA times placed 15th on 100 Fly and set a New Team Record for 10 year old Boys!

Jacqueline Bedard achieved 4 AAA times placed 14th on 1000 Free for 12 year old Girls!

Hana Song achieved 2 AA times placed 18th on 400 IM for 13 year old Girls!
