Tidal Wave Swimming excels at the State Age Group Championships in Savannah!

Andrew Baer

Last weekend, the Age Group State Championships took place in Savannah, GA, the first time outside of Atlanta in over a decade. In a venue that is clearly not big enough to host this event, our team of 26 swimmers adapted, and swam great! The team placed 6th overall out of more than 30 teams that participated. This is a huge accomplishment as we bested many teams that are much larger than ourselves. During the competition we set one new Team Record and over 2 dozen Top 10 All-Time team swims…way to go Tidal Wave Swimmers! In addition, we had several Relays and over 40 individual swims that placed in the Top 16 in the State of Georgia! As one of the Fastest LSCs in the United States, this is a HUGE accomplishment, and all the swimmers and families should be proud of all the achievements!
