Betsy Dunbar recap

The Betsy Dunbar Invite served as a great weekend of racing for Tidal Wave swimmers.  This meet can be difficult as we have changed training/sleep schedules, added a late night of summer league racing, and swimmers must remember how to navigate chase starts.   Our swimmers rose the occasion, swimming a great deal of lifetime bests!  In fact, we had eight swimmers achieve a total of 19 new Tidal Wave All-Time Top 10 swims!  A full list of those accomplishments follows:

8 & Under: Abigail Magouyrk: 50 back – 7^th, 200 IM – 3^rd (3:39.26); 11-12: Hannah Magouyrk: 200 back – 10^th (2:41.48), 100 fly – 8^th (1:11.48); Tyler Hanna: 50 breast – 5^th (36.83), 100 breast – 7^th (1:22.91), 200 breast – 6^th (2:59.76); Preston Hatcher: 100 back – 3^rd (1:13.06), 200 back – 3^rd (2:38. 70), 200 breast – 7^th (2:59.77); Kasen Sweet: 50 free – 6^th (29.31); 13-14: Nikolay Chernev: 100 free – 3^rd (56.52), 400 free – 6^th (4:27.70), 100 fly – 3^rd (1:00.83), 400 IM – 2^nd (4:53.02); Lucas Hanna: 100 breast – 8^th (1:16.04); John Jones: 100 breast – 9^th (1:16.20), 200 breast – 3^rd (2:38.26), 400 IM – 8^th (5:16.23).

Great swimming this weekend!  We look forward even better results later in the month.
