FAST Independence Invite (Ocala) recap
After a long weekend of racing, there is no question that Tidal Wave left its mark in Ocala, FL. The weekend finished with five new team records, 31 new All-Time Top 10 times, 18 event wins, and four high point award winners!!! Our swimmers dropped time by huge chunks. Nikolay Chernev broke four 13-14 boy’s teams records (100 & 200 breast, and 200 & 400 IM)! Reagan Burton erased a 23-year-old team mark in the senior girl’s 100 breast! Abigail Magouyrk (8 & under), Preston Hatcher (11-12), and Nikolay Chernev (13-14) were first place finishers in their respective high point awards, while Jonah Corbitt (Senior) was the runner-up for senior boys.
