2026 SA Winter Classic recap

Better than 80 Tidal wave swimmers attended the 2026 SA Winter Classic over the weekend at GA Tech.  It was our first competition of 2026, and some of our swimmers really took advantage of the opportunity. Zach Meyer secured his first ever age group state cut qualifying in the 13-14 boys 200 breast. Preston Hatcher, having just turned 13 a couple weeks ago, also punched his ticket to age group states. Additionally, we had four (4) new Peach State qualifiers. Congratulations go out to Tinley Webb (10 & under), Lizzy Curran (11-12), Nathan Balch (13-14), and Tyler Danz on achieving Peach State cuts. And, Tyler Hanna picked up a Senior State cut in the 200 breast.

Additionally, six new Tidal Wave All-Time Top 10 swims were achieved. Congratulations to the following swimmers:

9-10: Brady Brown: 200 free – 10^th (2:24.56), 100 fly – 3^rd (1:12.83), 200 IM – 10^th (2:44.33); 11-12: Nathan Moore: 200 back – 8^th (2:26.37); 13-14: Tyler Hanna: 100 breast – 7^th (1:05.07); William Magouyrk: 400 IM – 10^th (4:31.81). Great job swimmers!
