Coaches and Directors
Coach B was born and raised in Clinton and started swimming competitively at the age of 10. As a Clinton High School swimmer, he competed at the Iowa State High School swim meet twice as a part of multiple relays. He graduated as a member of two school record setting relays.
Coach B has a passion for coaching athletes of all ages. He loves motivating and challenging them to be the best athletes and people they can be. He is excited to work with the next generation of swimmers and grow this amazing sport in our area.
Coach Katie is beyond excited to return to the pool deck. Katie grew up in the Quad Cities and swam for the Rock Island Orca Swim Team and was a four-year varsity swimmer and diver for Rock Island High School. After swimming unattached during college, she found her way to Clinton and coached for a few years for River City Aquatics.
During the day, Katie teaches students at Northeast Middle-High School. When not at the pool, Katie enjoys being outdoors with her husband (Elliott), two children (Violet and Charlotte), and their two Labs (Ellie and Maddie).
Katie enjoys helping young swimmers develop stroke technique while having fun and making swimming enjoyable for all athletes.
Coach Sam is happy to be
back on deck sharing her love of swimming with the next generation
of
athletes. Sam was born and raised in Clinton and spent most of her
childhood on a pool deck. She
started swimming competitively at the age of 8. Through the years
she swam club for KQAA which later
became RCA and then went on to swim for Clinton High
School.
While Sam didn’t
swim competitively past high school, she has a passion for teaching
technique and
water safety. The last several years she has been a lifeguard,
water safety instructor and/or coach
whenever her schedule allowed. During the day, Sam is the
Administrative Coordinator at Skyline Center
in Clinton. When she is not coaching or working, you can find her
lap swimming at the YWCA, fishing,
reading, or cooking. She also loves to spend time with her husband,
Kyle and their Doberman Pinscher,
Dexter.
Sam enjoys working with
swimmers of all ages and abilities to improve technique and become
a well-
rounded athlete. She is a big believer that coaching is more than
teaching a sport, but also teaching
what it means to be a good person, teammate, and
friend.
