Calista Hughes started competitively swimming when she was 8 years old. Calista joined SSAN in 2011 and had many successes. Her best events were the 200 and 100 butterfly. She also swam for the Northampton Cudas and became a record breaker. Calista swam in high school for Klein Cain as part of the inaugural swim team. She set the 100 fly record and lettered in 100 fly, 200 IM, 200 free relay, and 200 Medley relay.
