Kristin started swimming when she was 9, swam summer league until she was 18, was a walk-on at the University of Nevada, Reno(Elem Ed/Phys Ed), and coached her hometown swim team for seven summers.

She moved to Houston in 1998 to work for Continental Airlines(United Airlines) as a Flight Attendant.  In 2007 Kristin joined the Woodlands Masters Swim Team where she met Coach Ross and Coach Laura. She is married to her husband Brad and they live in Montgomery. TX

Kristin joined Swim Streamline in the fall of 2020 and is an assistant coach for the Developmental group.
