Hurricanes of the Weeks of 5/27 and 6/2
A new highlight to our 2025 season is The Hurricanes of the Week. These Hurricanes have shown outstanding effort, sportsmanship, and team spirit in and out of the pool. They are giving their all at practice, and lifting up their teammates, they have truly earned the spotlight this week.
Taking initiative to set up the pool and leading others in doing so; Showing enthusiasm and support of their teammates during swim and dryland sessions; Setting goals on their first ever day of Ladybugs declaring their intent to swim better and faster to compete; Doing back to back practices to spend time with teammates/friends/besties; Attempting new dives into icy water with a huge smile.

Practice Times, They are a changin’
Beginning Thursday 6/19 we will start our AM practice schedule as listed in the website calendar and team information page.
PM practices (in place for those with camps and/or daycare conflicts) will be scheduled on a week to week basis, but are expected to be on any and all week days we do not have meets or other team commitements.
Those days will be schedule ASAP and hopefully by the end of this week.
PLEASE NOTE: The ages defined for practice groups are variable based on experience and ability. Coaches are working to assign groups according to what we have worked with so far this pre season as well as overall team roster breakdown per age group.
We welcome athlete and parental input into decision making but please know that while we want to accommodate every request, the overall structure of an effective and efficient practice is our first mission.

Hurricane Campout 6/13
We are very excited to bring back the Hurricanes Camp Out for 2025! We are starting earlier this year in hopes that if there is a rain delay, we have time to reschedule and this offers an opportunity for some team bonding early in the season. The event will take place on Friday, June 13th
The camp out is for all Hideaway Swim and Dive team members along with parents and siblings. Swim and Dive Team members and families can participate in all the activities, even if they can’t stay overnight. Kids 13 and over may stay and camp with friends, while those 12 and under must have a parent stay overnight. If your athlete is staying without a parent, you MUST fill out the permission form. You do not need to fill out the form if you will be staying overnight. CLICK HERE for the permission form.
We will have regular practices on Friday and the pool is not yet open full time to members so we will have the grounds and pool to ourselves. Feel free to set up tents after your swimmer or diver’s practice concludes but the campout doesn’t officially begin until after the last practice finishes up at 7:30 PM. All athletes must be supervised by a family member until that time if on the grounds of the pool property. We can set up tents on the golf course: boys on the left, girls on the right. Families may set up their tents anywhere on the golf course.
Camp out activities include snacks, campfire and s'mores, games, night swimming, and more! We will set up a snack table on Friday night as well as a light grab-and-go breakfast for Saturday morning. CLICK HERE to sign up to contribute. Leftovers will be donated to the Hideaway guards.
On Saturday morning, it is very important that we clean up all of our trash and leave the club looking perfect when we leave. Everyone must be packed up by 9:00 am on Saturday so that the Hideaway staff has time to prepare for the club opening.

Blue / White Meet (Time Trial) 6/18

Come celebrate the end of school (last day for HH) with some fast swimming - a time trial to set the baseline for season improvements!
Pool opens 4:00 PM for 14yrs + warm up; ALL must check in by 4:30 PM for a 4:40 warm up. 5:00 meet start
Stick around after the meet for an End of School Pool Party. The pool will be guarded immediately following the meet until 9:30 PM.
