Our Mission
Indianola Area Swim Club's mission is to develop well-rounded, hard-working and empathetic swimmers by creating a community of support and excellence.
Our History
The legacy of our swim team in Indianola started in 2007 with the Indianola Swim Club swimming at the Simpson College pool. Then in 2013 when the YMCA opened a facility in Indianola, the swim team changed to swimming at the YMCA pool and became known as the Indianola Tide. In 2018, the team joined the Greater Des Moines YMCA Association and became known as the Des Moines Marlins. In 2023, the City of Indianola bought out the YMCA, renamed the facility the Indianola Wellness Campus, and we formed the Indianola Area Swim Club known as the Sea Turtles. Our swim team has a long history of swimming in this community and we have always worked to promote health and improvement in the youth of our community. The swim team is still going strong. Regardless of the team name or team color, we are still the swim team of Indianola!
