Colleen Palermo Assistant Coach
Hey Everyone!  My name is Colleen Palermo and I look forward to working with your swimmers this season.  To tell you a little something about myself...I come from a swimming family and grew up swimming for the Tinley Park Sharks since the age of 6 til the age of 17.   I have 3 amazing kids and I'm happy to say that 1 of them swims!  I have been coaching GILS since 2017 and absolutely love it.  A few of my goals for the season are to have fun and to help your child become a better swimmer; and I am confident that we can achieve both of those goals!
Kelsey Staehle Assistant Coach

Ashley Porter Assistant Coach

I am so excited to be part of the GILS coaching staff. I started swimming when I was 8 years old and swam until my swimming career ended in college, swimming Division I at Bradley University.  I have coached all levels of ability for MANY years and am so fortunate that swimming is a sport my entire family can be a part of together.  I have two children, and we are thrilled to be a part of this team!  I look forward to working with your swimmers and instilling in them the same passion and drive for the sport of swimming as I have had all of my life.

Brian Porter Assistant Coach

I have enjoyed getting to know your swimmers more and more and am proud to be a part of the GILS coaching staff. I did not start swimming until high school, swimming for Carl Sandburg High School. However, my passion for the sport quickly extended into coaching. I have coached for MANY years at all different age and ability levels. I am BIG on technique and feel that it is one of the most important factors for success in the sport. My goals are to have fun, focus on technique, and help to instill values that make our athletes successful people both on and off the pool deck.

Molly Siniawski Assistant Coach

Hello GILS Families! I am thrilled to be one of your coaches this season. I swam competitively from the age of 8 through college, and I have taught and coached swimming for many years. Most recently, I was on the BBSC coaching staff for the past four years. My husband and I attended and swam at Lewis University.  My husband Jim enjoys officiating and our three daughters love swimming on the team.  Outside of the pool, I am an elementary school counselor and have worked with preschool-8th grade students in some form for over 15 years. Proper technique and training are important but it's the character building that I enjoy shaping.  I believe the two reasons children STAY in sports are because they are making friends and having fun!

Ashley Stille Assistant Coach
Hi everyone, I am so excited to be a part of such a special team. I was a former GILS swimmer myself from the age of 9, I swam for Andrew High school's Varsity team all four years, and also played water polo. I taught swim lessons for many years, and was also a lifeguard. Swimming is such an amazing sport, it requires a lot of self discipline, hard work, and I have such a passion for it. I look forward to working with the kids, and helping them believe in themselves. I want them to know that they can do hard things, even on the days they don't think they can. I have 3 kids; two of them are on the team already, and I'm sure my youngest will be there as soon as she can swim well enough. I am also a stroke and turn official for the team. One of my goals is to really help the swimmers not just swim fast, but to make sure all of their strokes are legal, so that every race counts!
