LYONS Aquatics Club is a year-round competitive aquatics program offering high quality professional coaching and technical instruction for all ages and abilities in the areas of Masters Swimming, Age Group Swimming, Water Polo, Diving, and a Learn to Swim Lessons program. Our goal is to provide every member the opportunity to develop their aquatic skills and succeed at every level, from the novice to the elite. We pride ourselves in having a high-caliber group of coaches, dedicated to producing great athletes AND inspiring the next generation of community-minded leaders. We are a non-profit Club run by an elected Board of Directors.
Assistant Age Group Swim Coach
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about swimming, dedicated to swimmer development, and loves working with children. The successful candidate will support coaching our developmental and competitive age group, as well as senior swimmers. This role requires availability during late afternoon and evening hours on weekdays, including extended hours during meet weekends.
Qualifications/Expectations:
- Prior coaching experience, especially with children and competitive swimmers.
- Compliance with USA Swimming's safety and background check requirements for coach membership.
- In-depth knowledge of competitive swimming techniques and stroke mechanics.
- Highly motivated, vibrant, inspiring leader, collaborative, reliable, and excellent in communication.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and growth within the club.
- USA Swimming Coach certification is preferred but not required.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications.
- The club will cover the costs of required certifications and USA Swimming membership, as well as reimburse approved professional development fees.

Assistant Swim Lesson Instructor
LYONS Aquatics is seeking Part-Time Instructors for our ever growing Competitive Learn-to-Swim Program. Swim Lesson Instructors will be responsible for in-water instruction within our Learn-to-Swim program. Their responsibilities include:
- Communicating with our Swim Lesson Director
- Student progress - strengths or weaknesses
- Providing feedback after each session
- Assisting with Level moves
A successful candidate has experience in competitive swimming or aquatics, whether that is past teaching or personal experience as an athlete. This is a Part-Time, Hourly position with a starting rate of $14.00 per hour.
