Coaches and Managers

Coach Mitch is a lifelong "water warrior," who has started swimming
competitively at age four. By 10, he earned national recognition
for his breaststroke on a top-10 medley relay team, and by 12, he
was representing Team Illinois (Zones). Throughout his youth, Mitch
broke several team records, a feat he later had the unique
satisfaction of coaching his own athletes to surpass. His high
school career included three MVP titles and two years as team
captain. After swimming for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater,
he decided to dedicate himself to coaching, sharing his passion and
expertise with swimmers of all ages.
Mitch specializes in advanced stroke technique and race strategy,
grounded in the belief that a strong foundation in fundamentals is
key to long-term success. He is known for his patient and
encouraging style, fostering a positive and supportive environment
where every athlete feels motivated to reach their full potential.
His goal is to instill a lifelong love for the sport while helping
swimmers develop both in and out of the water.
Beyond the pool deck, Mitch is an award-winning fine art
photographer with a Master of Fine Arts degree. His work has been
featured in galleries and publications worldwide, and he also
teaches photography at the college level. This unique blend of
artistic and athletic discipline allows Mitch to bring a creative
and analytical eye to his coaching, helping him connect with and
inspire his athletes in meaningful ways.
