The 2024 USA Diving Junior Nationals was one for the books! IISD brought 11 medals back home to Indiana. Mason won gold on 3m + bronze on 1m, Amelia earned bronze on 3m + 10th on 1m, Mallory got 6th on 1m, Dathan placed 4th on platform, Nora earned 10th on 3m, Brian earned 8th on platform, 8th on 3m, + 9th on 1m, and Georgia with a 7th place finish on platform. In May, Josh Hedberg traveled to Canada for the World Aquatics Diving World Cup. He and his partner Carson Tyler (IU) took silver in the Men’s Synchronized Platform event. In April, also traveled to Mexico for the World Aquatics Diving World Cup 2025. Our 2024 Junior International Team Members secured 3 gold medals and 1 bronze at the Junior World Championships hosted in Rio de Janiero, Brazil. Josh Sollenberger won the men's 1m, Josh Sollenbereger + Joshua Hedberg earned gold in the team event, Josh Hedberg took bronze in the men's platform event, Lily Rodgers places 13th in the women's platform. The 2024 Olympic Team Trials were a success for IISD! We had two current athletes compete. Joshua Hedberg competed in the Men's 10m, placing 3rd overall. Here's quick recap of the results from the 2024 Senior World Diving Championships in Doha, Quatar! IISD had 1 athlete, Josh Hedberg, as well as 1 IISD coach, Sean McCarthy, representing #TeamUSA. Josh qualified for Worlds in the Men's Individual Platform + Men's Synchro Platform (with IU's Carson Tyler) by placing 1st place in both events at Winder Nationals in Knoxville.
