Team Outing/4 Winds Field/Friday June 20

Optional add ons include:

$5 Fun Zone Wristband (for children ages 3-10, $7 on gameday)

$7 Meal Voucher (Hot Dog, Chips, Soda, $13 at concessions)

When committing, please enter in the notes how many tickets ($15) and also how many optional Fun Zone wristbands ($5) and Meal Vouchers ($7) you would like.

New Programing

Both of our new programs are underway.  I would appreciate any feedback you’d like to share.  As we navigate our way through this learning curve for both athletes and coaches it would be helpful if you were to share your thoughts.

As of this morning 76 of our athletes signed up for GoSwim.  For us to get everything we can out of this program we need all of our athletes to sign up.

Here is the link to register your athlete.

NASA Summer Invitational

We received word NASA was moving their meet to Elkhart Aquatics.  This meet was put on our schedule specifically for our newer and less accomplished swimmers.  The move to long course meters means this meet no longer serves the purpose I originally scheduled it.  It was also 3 weekends in a row for our staff so I have decided to remove this meet from our schedule.

Summer Practice Schedule

This is our tentative plan for all locations:

Practices at Knollwood will continue to be the same structure as they are now.

Practices at New Prairie will be moving to the morning starting June 2.  Coach Ashley and I have made this decision in an attempt to increase the small turnouts we have had over the last several seasons.

Penn Groups our plan will look something like this:

Splash Groups 1, 2, 3:

We will follow the same format we are currently.

Splash 4

This group will practice with the Fins on Tuesday at Elkhart.  The rest of their schedule will remain as it is.

Fins Group

We will follow a very similar evening practice schedule we are on currently.

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 5:30-7:30 and Friday 5:00-6:30 at Penn

Tuesday at Elkhart Aquatics 3:45-6:00

We will also allow Fins athletes to attend some of the Elite group’s morning practices based on their age and accomplishment level. The morning practices are not meant to be a replacement to the evening practices.   If an athlete has at least  3 Divisional Cuts in their age group they may attend this many morning practices at Penn.  We consider a swimmer’s age to be how old they will be at their championship meet.

11 year olds 1 morning practice

12 year olds 2 morning practices

13 year olds 3 morning practices

14 year olds 4 morning practices

If an athlete has one Age Group State Cut in their age group they will be allowed to attend the long course practice at Notre Dame on Fridays.  No athlete will be allowed to exceed the number of practices listed for their age.  If an 11 year old has state cuts they are allowed to attend one morning workout each week.  They can choose to attend the practice at Notre Dame or one at Penn.

Elite

Monday - Thursday 6:00-8:00 AM at Penn (8:15-9:00 weights*)

Friday 9:00-11:00 AM at Notre Dame

Monday 3:45-6:00 at Elkhart Aquatics

Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 5:00-6:30

*more details coming on our weights program

USA Memberships

We will need all of our athletes that have not done so already, to renew their USA Swimming memberships.  Here is the link.

If you qualify for the Outreach Program email me and I will send you the link you will need to use for registrations.

If you have any questions about any registration issues you can reach out to me or our team/business manager Kelly Laneman ([email protected]

Spring and Summer Meet Schedule/Dates of Meet/Location/Deadline to commit

This is our tentative meet schedule for the spring and summer. We may add meets if we find ones that fit our club’s needs or delete meets if there is not enough interest from our members. There will be two different dates listed with each meet The first date listed is the day(s) of the meet and the second date is the deadline to commit

Swimmers wanting to compete will need to commit to those meets. The deadlines will be based on deadlines that were set in previous years. They may change once the meet hosts posts the meet information. When committing to multiple day meets, if the option to select the days you want is not available, leave a message in the notes section stating the specific days you would like to attend.

Some meets will be marked with an * and those will require swimmers to meet minimum time standards.  You can view all pool locations on our website under the "Pools" tab.
