Practice Notes:

As many of you know the Penn pool is down the month of August and into part of September.  Until then, we are trying to secure pool time for Fins and Elite swimmers.  We do have some pool time reserved at the KCC indoor pool but they are also doing maintenance and a finish date for that work is still up in the air.  We have reached out to SBCSC about use of their pools and we have been told to reach out again on Monday, which we will.  As soon as we are able to secure some practice space we will communicate that to our members.  Our hope is by the end of the week we will have something in place.

Splash and Fins Pre-Season Conditioning

We are offering a pre-season conditioning and technique session for our age group swim team members. This is a great opportunity for swimmers to stay in dryland shape and maintain their fitness levels prior to the start of the fall/winter season in September.

Dryland training is a vital part of our plan for long term athletic development. We will be focusing on dryland skills and technique during these sessions, so athletes should come wearing socks & athletic shoes. Athletes will also participate in classroom type learning where they will review and learn about goal setting for their swim training, character development, watch & learn from swim technique videos and participate in team bonding activities. We will spend some time in the water applying what we have learned in the technique videos.

Swimmers will not work out with their traditional training groups. Instead, they will attend practice within the following grade levels they will be entering this school year: Grades K-2, Grades 3-4, Grades 5-8.

The session will last two weeks, and there will be eight workouts offered for each age group (4 per week). Here are the details:

Fall and Winter Meet Schedule/Dates of Meet/Location/Deadline to commit

This is our meet schedule for the fall and winter. We may add meets if we find ones that fit our club’s needs or delete meets if there is not enough interest from our members. There will be two different dates listed with each meet The first date listed is the day(s) of the meet and the second date is the deadline to commit

Swimmers wanting to compete will need to commit to those meets. The deadlines will be based on deadlines that were set in previous years. They may change once the meet hosts posts the meet information. When committing to multiple day meets, if the option to select the days you want is not available, leave a message in the notes section stating the specific days you would like to attend.

Meets marked with an * require swimmers to meet minimum time standards.  You can view all pool locations on our website under the "Pools" tab.
