Practice Notes:

New Prairie families continue to use door N18 to enter the building. We have been asked by the school administration to have our families and athletes not arrive at the school prior to 4:45 CST.

No practice at Penn on Tuesday due to a home high school meet.

No practice at any site on Friday or Saturday due the NASA Antiwave Winter Invite.

Pool deck access 7:30

Warm Ups 8:00-8:45 – our athletes should be on deck by 7:45

Meet Starts 8:50

Expected Completion 12:20

Sunday PM Session (10 and under)

Pool deck access 12:15

Warm Ups 12:00-12:50 – our athletes should be on deck by 11:45

Meet Starts 1:00

Expected Completion 2:50

USA Swimming’s Speedo Winter Junior Championships/IU-Indy/Dec. 10-13

Later this week we have three athletes traveling to Indianapolis to compete at Winter Juniors; Max Barnes, Molly Barnes, and Addy Szkalay. Max will be swimming the 200 IM, 400 IM, and 200 Breast. Molly will be swimming the 100 and 200 Back. Addy will be swimming the 50 Free, 100 Breast, and 100 Back. You can follow their progress on your Meet Mobile app.

NASA Antiwave Winter Invite/Northridge High School/Dec. 12-14

Deck access 4:00

Warm-ups 4:15-5:15 – our athletes should be on deck at 4:00

Meet Starts 5:30

Saturday and Sunday AM (11 and over)

Doors open 7:30

Warm-ups 7:45-8:45 – our athletes should be on deck by 7:30

Meet Starts 9:00

Saturday and Sunday PM (10 and under)

Warm-ups 12:30-1:20 – our athletes should be on deck by 12:15

Spring Championship Meets

The meet locations for all but one of our season ending championship meets has been announced.

Divisionals, March 6-8, will be either at the Helen Brown Natatourium in Ft. Wayne or at Crown Point High School. Last year the Divisional assignments were posted mid January.

Senior State,March 12-15, will be at the Elkhart Aquatic Center.

Age Group State, March 20-22, will be held at Carmel High School.

Speedo Sectionals, March 26-29, will be held at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis.

Marlin Night at Penn High School

We are inviting all our Fins Athletes to help time at the Penn vs. St. Joe dual meet. The meet is being held Tuesday January 13. The swimming portion of the meet begins at 6:00. Our Fins athletes will need to be on deck by 5:30 to get organized. Everyone should wear this season’s Marlins T-shirt.

Fall and Winter Meet Schedule/Dates of Meet/Location/Deadline to commit

This is our meet schedule for the fall and winter. We may add meets if we find ones that fit our club’s needs or delete meets if there is not enough interest from our members. There will be two different dates listed with each meet The first date listed is the day(s) of the meet and the second date is the deadline to commit.

Swimmers wanting to compete will need to commit to those meets. The deadlines will be based on deadlines that were set in previous years. They may change once the meet hosts posts the meet information. When committing to multiple day meets, if the option to select the days you want is not available, leave a message in the notes section stating the specific days you would like to attend.

Meets marked with an * require swimmers to meet minimum time standards. You can view all pool locations on our website under the "Pools" tab.
