Practice Notes:

New Prairie families continue to use door N18 to enter the building. We have been asked by the school administration to have our families and athletes not arrive any earlier than 9:45 CST.

No practice at KCC on Wednesday or Thursday due to the New Year’s holidays. No practice at New Prairie on Thursday due to New Years Day. No practice at any site on Friday or Saturday due to the IA Meet.

KCC athletes may attend their corresponding practices at Penn this week to make up for any that are missed due to scheduling.

IA Tim Welsh Invite/Jan. 2-4/Elkhart Aquatic Center

Here is our entry. You can also check our entry by logging into our website or app. I will be the coach on deck for all sessions. If you are running late or will not be able to make it please send me a text, 574-276-6057. Here are the pertinent times for this weekend’s meet.

Friday (events #1-#10)

Doors open 3:45

Warm-ups 4:00-4:50 – our athletes should be on deck by 3:50

Meet starts 5:00

Saturday and Sunday Prelim Sessions (11 and over)

Doors open at 6:40

Warm-ups 7:00-7:50 – our athletes should be on deck by 6:45

Meet starts 8:00

Saturday and Sunday (10 and under)

Warm-up 11:00-11:45 – our athletes should be on deck by 10:45

Meet Starts 12:00

Saturday and Sunday Finals Sessions (11 and over)

Warm-ups 4:00-4:45 – our athletes should be on deck by 4:00

Finals start 5:00

CON IMXtreme Challenge/Concord High School/January 23-25

The meet letter is now posted to our website. Concord has not posted the entry file as of this morning so I have re-opened the meet commitment section. If you would still like to attend this meet and missed the deadline I will keep the commitment section open at least through tonight and it will remain open until Concord posts the entry file. Please remember to leave a note if your athlete will not be attending all three days.

Spring Championship Meets

The meet locations for our season ending championship meets have been announced.

Divisionals, March 6-8, will be at the HPB Natatorium, Ft. Wayne.

The meet director for Divisionals has sent an email with hotels they have been working with to get families a discount for rooms for Divisional weekend. Here is the link to his email.

Senior State, March 12-15, will be at the Elkhart Aquatic Center.

Age Group State, March 20-22, will be held at Carmel High School.

Speedo Sectionals, March 26-29, will be held at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis.

Holiday Party

Thank you to the parents and coaches who helped organize last week’s parties. The athletes that were able to attend all had a great time and we appreciate your willingness to coordinate and run the event!

Marlin Night at Penn High School

We are inviting all our Fins Athletes to help time at the Penn vs. St. Joe dual meet. The meet is being held Tuesday January 13. The swimming portion of the meet begins at 6:00. Our Fins athletes will need to be on deck by 5:30 to get organized. Everyone should wear this season’s Marlins T-shirt.

Fall and Winter Meet Schedule/Dates of Meet/Location/Deadline to commit

This is our meet schedule for the fall and winter. We may add meets if we find ones that fit our club’s needs or delete meets if there is not enough interest from our members. There will be two different dates listed with each meet The first date listed is the day(s) of the meet and the second date is the deadline to commit.

Swimmers wanting to compete will need to commit to those meets. The deadlines will be based on deadlines that were set in previous years. They may change once the meet hosts posts the meet information. When committing to multiple day meets, if the option to select the days you want is not available, leave a message in the notes section stating the specific days you would like to attend.

Meets marked with an * require swimmers to meet minimum time standards. You can view all pool locations on our website under the "Pools" tab.
